Torch design concept

The approved direction is a mature geometric construction. It communicates a global climate symbol, not fire.

A planned global symbol

The concept is designed to provide a recognizable physical symbol through which climate participation can be communicated across countries, communities, institutions and generations.

GCCT intends the Torch to be a shared point of recognition — a way to make climate responsibility visible without reducing it to spectacle. The planned initiative has not yet been presented here as a completed global journey.

Planned initiative

Global Torch Journey concept

The following describes the intended framework. It does not record events that have already taken place, and it does not imply that any person or institution has agreed to participate.

Phase 1

National reception

The Torch is intended to travel through participating countries, with inauguration or reception by a head of state or an appropriate senior national representative where invitations, protocol, availability and host-country arrangements permit. Participation is not guaranteed and is not claimed as completed.

Within participating countries, the planned participation framework may include a broad range of people and institutions. None of the categories below is presented as a confirmed commitment.
