UNITED FOR CLIMATE

About Global Climate Change Torch

One Planet. One Future. One Global Movement.

Earth is our home. It should be liveable for our coming generations.

What is GCCT?

Global Climate Change Torch (GCCT) is an international climate movement dedicated to connecting people, communities, youth, institutions, leaders and organizations through climate awareness, participation, communication and practical climate action.

GCCT is an independent international climate movement. It is not a United Nations body, a UN agency, or UN-endorsed, and it does not claim official COP affiliation.

GCCT exists so that climate knowledge, participation and practical action can travel together — with measurement and accountability as the work grows.

Why GCCT?

Climate change is a global challenge. A durable response depends on global participation — and on connecting global climate dialogue with people and communities.

GCCT exists to help close that distance: making climate knowledge more understandable, inviting participation (especially by young people), and encouraging practical action, communication, cooperation and accountability. This page does not present external statistics or unverified scientific claims.

Mission

Inspire climate awareness, empower people—especially young people—and encourage practical action for a safer, more resilient and liveable planet.

These are the themes of that mission. They describe intent and direction, not a record of completed programmes or measured impact.

Climate Torch

The Torch as a symbol

The Global Climate Change Torch is the symbolic heart of GCCT. It is a global climate symbol, not a flame-based identity.

The approved visual direction is geometric and institutional — globe, circular form, horizontal structure and curved supports. GCCT does not use fire, burning-torch graphics or Olympic-style flame imagery. Official logo files will be used when they are supplied; the mark is not redesigned here.

Climate-action cycle

The GCCT 5A model

A continuous cycle of climate action. The five elements are used in this order and are not renamed.

  1. Awareness

Help people understand climate change in clear, responsible language.

  2. Advocacy

Encourage informed public conversation and constructive climate participation.

  3. Action

Support practical steps that communities, youth and institutions can take.

  4. Acceleration

Help useful climate participation grow in quality, reach and continuity.

  5. Accountability

Report progress honestly, with verified information distinguished from targets.

Explore the GCCT 5A model on this page. A dedicated 5A briefing is not yet published.

From global decisions to local action

Global climate discussions, agreements, policies and knowledge should become understandable and accessible to people and communities.

This communication philosophy will inform the future GCCT Climate Media platform. It is a design principle, not a claim that those editorial or media systems are already operating.

    Global Impact

Report verified impact transparently against the movement’s long-term direction. Impact is not assumed in advance.

Organizational positioning

GCCT is an independent international climate movement.

GCCT seeks accountability as well as participation: reporting what can be verified, labelling what remains a target or vision, and avoiding claims of government, United Nations or official international status until they are formally confirmed.
